CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is a very gentle hands on non-invasive technique which evaluates and enhances the body's function through the CranioSacral system. This system incorporates the skull bones and the spine. It includes the Sacrum and it connects with every part of the body through the connective tissue.
The free flow of the spinal fluid is most important as it promotes a state of health and balance. It also influences the musculosketeal system, vascular system, endocrine system and respiratory system.
When certain body parts or regions do not move rhythmically in response to the gentle urging of the craniosacral system we are able to locate areas of trouble in the body. The gentle technique used assists the bodies own healing mechanism and helps release restrictions, which in turn allows the fluid to flow more freely. These restrictions can be stored in the body for years since childhood, or as far back as the womb, manifesting as physical or emotional problems.
The number of treatments varies from person to person depending on symptoms. Some may resolve immediately, whilst other deeper patterns may take longer. The treatment may take up to one hour. The person been treated feels very relaxed and may feel sensations of heat or tingling during the treatment.
CranioSacral Therapy can be used in treating many different conditions such as chronic neck and back pain, reduced mobility, migraine headaches, low energy, joint problems, stress, tension, menstrual, menopausal problems and fibromyalgia, to name but a few. It is used to treat patients of all ages from newborn to the very elderly. It is safe to use throughout pregnancy.
