About Ann Harty
Ann Harty is qualified in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine with the Acupuncture foundation of Ireland. She carried out two months clinical practice in Nanjing University Hospital China in 1996. Since then she has studied and qualified in Tuina Massage which is a Chinese medical massage which is very effective on sports injuries, frozen shoulders, back and neck problems.
Since 2010 Ann has focused on assisting people with fertility issues and in 2012 she undertook an additional qualification with Zita West's Fertility Training Programme in London. Ann teaches the Creighton Model Fertilitycare System. This involves teaching couples to chart their cycle and to recognise from the biological markers their fertile and infertile periods in the menstrual cycle.
Ann studied Iridology and Naturopathy while living in Australia and on her return to Ireland she did further study in Iridology with the School of Medical Iridology in London. Ann has a great interest in Iridology and uses it daily in the clinic in Glasnevin, Dublin. In conjunction with Iridology she gives diet and nutrition advice which proves very popular with her patients.
She undertook a diploma in Diet and Nutrition with ITEC and completed the A.Vogul Institute Herbal Certificate Program in tandem with Bioforce.
In 2005, Ann has gained a qualification in Live Blood Analysis. This procedure is performed by taking a small sample of fresh blood from a finger prick and analysing it under a microscope.
In 2002, Ann undertook CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute and to date she has partaken in CST1, CST2 and SER1, SER2, and ADV1 as well as further Paediatric courses. This is another modality that she uses daily and she finds it very effective in treating nearly all ailments. This relies on the smooth flow of CranioSacral fluid around the spinal cord, brain and central nervous system, it provides a state of health and balance.
Ann is constantly undergoing CPD workshops and seminars and has a keen interest in complementary therapy. She has been practicing for the past 22 years (since 1997 in Ireland) and worked closely with Jan De Vries for 14 years up to his retirement in 2013.
In her spare time Ann loves to cook and is a supporter of fresh organic produce and is a firm believer that we are a product of what we ingest and she strives to make as many people aware of this as possible. Ann also believes in Thai Chi, a form of Chinese martial arts and yoga effective for elevating stress.
